Who runs Blinchicom

Blinchicom: Drift Arena and blinchi.com are made and run by Dmitry Valeev, an individual developer (LinkedIn). For anything on this page, write to [email protected].

The short version

  • Your name, car colour, settings and records stay in your browser.
  • When you play online, other players see the name you typed, your car colour and your score.
  • Our servers don't log player names or IP addresses.
  • Visits to this website are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't identify you.
  • We don't sell or share data for advertising, and nothing tracks you across other websites.

What the game keeps on your device

The game saves these in your browser's storage for this site (IndexedDB), so they are there next time:

  • the name you type and the car colour you pick;
  • your settings, such as steering sensitivity, driving assists, vibration and sound, and whether you finished the tutorial;
  • your personal records and medals, and your best runs in Drift Trials;
  • your car set-up.

None of this is sent to us, except the name and colour when you play online (next section). Clearing your browser's site data for play.blinchi.com deletes all of it.

The online arena

When you play Arena online, the game connects to our game server at ws.blinchi.com and sends, while you play:

  • the name you typed and your car colour;
  • your car's position and its tyre marks;
  • your score.

The server passes this to the other players in the same arena, so they see your car, name and score. It holds it in memory only while you're connected. The server's logs contain counts and performance figures (players, bots, frame rate), not names or IP addresses. Your IP address does reach Cloudflare and our hosting provider as part of the connection; see Service providers.

Your name is public. Other players see it. Use a nickname, not your real name, and don't put anything personal in it.

We use this data to run the game you asked to play (performance of a service you requested) and to keep it working and secure (legitimate interest).

This website

  • No cookies. blinchi.com and play.blinchi.com set no cookies.
  • Visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, referrers, countries and page load times. It sets no cookies and doesn't fingerprint or identify visitors. We use it to see which pages help (legitimate interest).
  • Fonts and files come from our own servers, so no visitor data goes to font or script hosts.
  • Pages for setup and speed (/gamepad, /gpu) read your controller and graphics card inside your browser to show you the result. Nothing from those checks is sent anywhere, except a report you copy and choose to send us.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep the conversation to answer you, and delete it when it's no longer needed.

Service providers

Two companies process data for us, under their data processing terms:

ProviderWhat forData
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA)Delivering and protecting the website and game, Web Analytics, forwarding email to [email protected]IP address, request details, cookieless visit counts, emails you send us

If you play Blinchicom on another website, such as a game portal, that website's own privacy policy applies to what it collects.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or ask for a copy. We hold almost nothing that is tied to you, so most requests are answered by clearing your browser's site data. For anything else, write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days.

If you're in the EU or UK and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Blinchicom is a general-audience game, not made for children under 13. It doesn't ask for anyone's age, real name, email or contact details. If you think a child has put personal information in a player name, write to us and we'll remove it.

Changes

When the game starts doing something new with data, such as adding accounts or a new service provider, this page changes first and the date at the top moves.
